L'intervento di Zanonato sul Sistri è avvenuto durante il suo discorso all'assemblea di Confindustria dello scorso 23 maggio, mentre il ministro per lo Sviluppo Economico parlava degli inutili elementi di complicazione dell'ordinamento italiano: "Un caso emblematico di ingiustificato aggravio (gold plating) per gli operatori è certamente il Sistri", ha esordito il ministro. "Estendendo la tracciabilità dei rifiuti pericolosi anche a tipologie diverse e non pericolose, siamo stati più realisti del re. Il nostro sistema di tracciabilità va semplificato, a partire proprio dal perimetro di applicazione, per far sì che non rappresenti un ostacolo ingiustificato all'attività imprenditoriale. Per questo, insieme al ministro Orlando abbiamo concordato la necessità di rivedere l'attuale sistema e la possibilità di introdurre un regime più agile allineato alle prassi europee".
Non resta, però, molto tempo per revisionare e semplificare il Sistri, perché la sua operatività inizierà il prossimo ottobre per le aziende con più di dieci dipendenti e da marzo 2014 per tutte le altre.
