La maggior parte dei veicoli commerciali circolanti in Europa e nel mondo sono alimentati a gasolio, la tipologia di carburante che al momento offre la resa migliore. Tuttavia Renault Trucks è sempre più attenta alle questioni ambientali e per questo ha messo all'opera già da diversi anni una strategia complessiva di riduzione dei consumi dei propri veicoli, proponendo un'offerta completa di veicoli con motori alimentati ad energie alternative. Dal 1975, i consumi degli automezzi sono calati di circa il 40% e Renault Trucks ritiene che, nei prossimi anni, potranno scendere ulteriormente.
La diminuzione dei consumi rappresenta un elemento chiave nella progettazione e nello sviluppo delle nuove gamme. Fin dall’inizio, le cabine delle gamme Lunga Distanza,CavaCantiere ed Edilizia sono state messe a punto allo scopo di offrire la miglior aerodinamica possibile. Il loro sviluppo è stato oggetto di studi molto approfonditi e di test nella galleria del vento. I nuovi motori Euro VI, inoltre, sono stati sviluppati con l’obiettivo di mantenere i consumi ai più bassi livelli possibili.
Renault Trucks, inoltre, propone ai clienti un ventaglio di veicoli alimentati ad energie alternative. Questi veicoli sono affidabili e danno grande soddisfazione ai clienti che li hanno scelti. L’impiego di motori alimentati ad energia elettrica è adatto al centro delle città e alle consegne del cosiddetto “ultimo chilometro”. Renault Trucks offre, così, da due anni, un Maxity completamente elettrico con una MTT da 4,5 t e un’autonomia di 100 chilometri senza alcuna emissione acustica. In costante sviluppo, questo veicolo sarà a breve abbinato ad allestimenti con funzionamento interamente elettrico, e potrà essere equipaggiato con prese di forza.
La tecnologia ibrida, che associa un motore termico ad un motore elettrico, offre maggior autonomia. È valida per le attività di distribuzione urbana e sub-urbana, più “ghiotte” di chilometri. Renault Trucks ha scelto, per questa tecnologia, il Premium Distribuzione nelle versioni da 18 e 26 t.
L’energia è una posta in gioco importantissima per l’autotrasporto di merci, quindi Renault Trucks mette a disposizione dei clienti un insieme di strumenti e servizi concreti ed efficaci, oltre a gamme affidabili, composte da veicoli ad energie alternative, e adatte a tutti i tipi di utilizzo. Il Costruttore investe in ricerca e sviluppo per offrire soluzioni innovative e migliorare quelle esistenti. I veicoli delle nuove gamme ne sono la prova migliore: pur rispondenti alla futura normativa Euro VI, consumeranno meno di quelli attualmente in circolazione. L’attesa sta per finire. Le nuove gamme Renault Trucks saranno presentate a Lione, l’11 giugno prossimo.

The hybrid technology, which combines an internal combustion engine with an electric motor, delivers greater autonomy.
